The Hiran Dance is performed by the Jaunsari Community of Uttarakhand on the festive occasion of Diwali. It is continuously performed for 5 days. As per the legend, with the news of the return of Lord Ramachandra to Ayodha, in the aftermath of his exile, the Jaunsari community perform this dance. Both males and females participate in this dance. This dance is very colorful.
