About type of art
Thatia singing dance Village Asahi District. Chicholi Tribal Development Betul (M.P.) This dance is called singing dance. Thatis are a sub-caste of the Gond tribe living in the remote areas of Betul district. People of Thatti caste do the work of grazing cattle in the village. One roti and one pav page (which is made of sooji) is given from each house as remuneration in the morning and evening. That is how his family is fed. At the beginning of the rainy season, when the first monsoon rains occur, green grass grows in the forests. Which is called Lilpi in their local dialect. When the lily grows, the society becomes happy that now the stomachs of our cattle will be filled. Then this society performs a puja which is called Lilpi Puja. After the puja, the tune of flute starts, and mesmerized by the mantra , the community starts dancing. This dance continues till Diwali. After some time of Diwali, after worshiping, this dance is stopped again till the beginning of rainy season. This dance is quite typical and traditional. Modernity has not been able to make any impact on this dance. In the Gond tribe, the festival of Diwali is completed in five stages with folk songs and folk dances. The first phase is - Godhoni (Godhoni Tandana). Under this, a group of men of Thatiya tribe come out of the house dancing with flute and horn instruments. Along with this, women install Godhoni in a Supada and keep the Aarti plate along with them and go to the courtyard of every house of the village to worship Godhoni while singing Godhoni songs and the figure of Godhoni is carved by the women on the walls of every house in the color of clay and ochre. Is. The shape of Godhoni is made in the Supada, it gives the impression of nature in which rivers, mountains, forests, green grass, different types of flowers are visible, from all this it is clear that the nature of Diwali of this tribe is based on worship and cow worship. This folk song is sung on this occasion. coordinator Leader - Coasing Uikey, Convener - Madan Mohan Shukla Village - Asadi Chicholi Betul - 9425636773
