The oral tradition of the Toda is very rich, especially their songs. Folk songs are sung by both sexes. The Toda have no exclusive music, but they will form a circle together and they will sing in toda language and clapping their hands. In Toda language Harshth dance performed by Toda men. Toda festivals like Morthparith, Earpiecing and Tonsuring ceremony, Temple Festival, Bow and Arrow ceremony, Face-Uncovering ceremony and Name giving for toda child, Salt giving ceremony.The songs that the Todas sing are ancient, transmitted from generation to generation. Some of the songs are based on legendary stories. Todas ethnics songs usually revolve around the praise of their temples, nature, mountains, forests, rivers, buffaloes ancestors, friendship, deceased person and love etc. The Toda men are occasionally use flute as part time in their village.
