Thongseng is a beautiful dance of Savara, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group living in the Seethampeta region of Parvathipuram Manyam district in Andhra Pradesh state. Thongseng means in sora Ring Rang Jing which means the Jingling sound of Andelu or Anklets while dancing. Thongseng dance has seven kinds of dance forms which they perform during festivals, fairs, ceremonies, cropping and harvesting seasons, community gatherings, and any other occasions. The dance forms of Thongseng are Jumbong Thongseng, Judodeb Thongseng, Abdur Thongseng, Guaren Thongseng, Sirn, Kinpur Thongsend and Gusada Thongseng. Thongseng is the most popular dance form, men will play ethnic music using traditional musical instruments and women will dance and sing specific songs of their folklore, children also join the dance and enjoy the moment, and once they start dancing continue for a long or whole night. They dance vigorously, while dancing, a woman among the performers will hold the umbrella and perform leg moments which is a special attraction in the dance, all the women follow her and dance rhythmically by changing various steps and formations like jumping, back steps, and front steps, housing, and rounding. Both the men and women will have coordination while dancing and the men play music accordingly.
